I am currently seconded to a property developer to assist with the Project Management and establishment of a new township development in Eersterust, Pretoria. The project aims to bring new opportunities for work and residence to the local community in the area and will create more than 10,000 jobs during the construction phase.

The project is a multi-phase, mixed-use development situated on 450,000m² of land. It will consist of 6,200 Social Housing Rental Units, 460 Sectional Title Units, 7,000m² of Retail and Commercial, a School and Technical Training College and a Filling Station.

I am tasked with bringing the project up to a point where it is ready to be developed, which involves the coordination between various professionals in the development of the master plan. Simultaneously I am coordinating the process of obtaining the relevant statutory rights to allow for a new township to be established, after which we will be able to apply for our development rights. The project requires the integration of proposed new access roads into provincial arterial roads and close collaboration with The South African National Roads Agency and the local municipality. The project is on track to deliver the first residential units in 2024.
